New feature: M365 Group Targeting
Simplify campaign management and deliver more targeted security awareness training with Microsoft 365 group-based targeting.
We're introducing Microsoft 365 Group Targeting for CyberSentriq Security Awareness Training (SAT) and Phishing Simulations, making it easier for MSPs to create, manage, and scale security awareness campaigns.
Instead of manually selecting individual users, administrators can now use existing Microsoft 365 groups to target specific departments, teams, or business functions. This reduces administrative effort and helps ensure training and phishing simulations reach the right employees.
What's New?
Target campaigns using existing Microsoft 365 groups
Select existing Microsoft 365 groups when creating SAT or phishing simulation campaigns. Administrators can choose specific groups or all groups, making it easier to align campaigns with the organisation's existing structure.
Automatically enrol new employees
When eligible, licensed active users join a targeted group during an active campaign, they're automatically enrolled before the campaign completion date. This helps ensure new employees aren't overlooked.
Support nested group membership
Eligible users within nested Microsoft 365 groups are included automatically, eliminating the need to select each user or subgroup individually.
Simplify audience selection
Search, sort, and navigate Microsoft 365 groups, view eligible user counts, and review selected audiences before launching campaigns.
Why It Matters for MSPs
Managing security awareness campaigns across multiple customers can involve significant manual administration, particularly when employee roles, departments, and teams change frequently.
Microsoft 365 Group Targeting helps MSPs:
-
Save time: Reduce repetitive user selection and manual audience management.
-
Improve relevance: Deliver targeted training and simulations to specific teams or departments.
-
Keep campaigns current: Automatically include eligible new employees as they join targeted groups.
-
Scale more efficiently: Run repeatable awareness programmes using existing customer directory structures.
Getting Started
When creating a new Security Awareness Training or Phishing Simulation campaign, navigate to the Add users or groups step and select Groups. Choose the relevant Microsoft 365 groups, review the eligible user count, and launch your campaign.
Note: Group targeting is available for new campaigns at the individual customer level. Each campaign can target either groups or individual users, but not both. Users removed from a group during an active campaign remain enrolled.
Make security awareness campaigns easier to manage, more relevant, and more scalable with Microsoft 365 Group Targeting.
