Microsoft's own terms make you responsible for recovering your own Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data - Microsoft backs up its infrastructure, not your content. Microsoft 365 Backup closes that gap: unlimited storage, backups taken three times a day at eight-hour intervals, instant access to backed-up data while a full recovery is still running, and granular restore down to a single email or file rather than a whole mailbox.
